Psalm 34 in Weekend Words-IV

Psalm 34

New International Reader’s Version (NIRV)

15 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
    and his ears are attentive to their cry;
16 but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
    to blot out their name from the earth.

17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
    he delivers them from all their troubles.
18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
    and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Weekend words is a regular feature of watercress words. At the end of the work week we break from exploring medical topics to read words of faith, hope and love from the Bible and other carefully selected writings.

Please follow this blog for more Weekend Words and posts that

I am a family physician who explores the HEART of HEALTH in my work, recreation, and through writing. On my blog, Watercress Words, I inform and inspire us in healthy living. I believe we can turn our health challenges into healthy opportunities. When we do, we can share the HEART of health with our families, communities, and the world. Come explore and share with me.
