Psalm 34 in Weekend Words-III

Psalm 34:11-14

New International Reader’s Version (NIRV)

My children, come. Listen to me.
I will teach you to have respect for the Lord.
12 Do you love life
and want to see many good days?
13 Then keep your tongues from speaking evil.
Keep your lips from telling lies.
14 Turn away from evil, and do good.
Look for peace, and go after it.

I took these photos while on a volunteer medical service trip to Cuenca Ecuador a number of years ago. The 3-domed church in the featured image above is The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (Spanish: Catedral de la Inmaculada Concepción). Thanks to Senior RV Adventure for helping me identify these beautiful churches.

Weekend words is a regular feature of watercress words. At the end of the work week we break from exploring medical topics to read words of faith, hope and love from the Bible and other carefully selected writings.

As a family physician, I explore the HEART of HEALTH in my work, recreation, community, and through writing. My blog, Watercress Words, informs and inspires us to live in health. I believe we can turn our health challenges into healthy opportunities. When we do, we can share the HEART of health with our families, communities, and the world. Come explore and share with me.
