The Heart of C.S. Lewis

Faith Hope Love, in colorful letters

“CLIVE STAPLES LEWIS (1898–1963) was one of the intellectual giants of the twentieth century and arguably one of the most influential writers of his day.”

He is perhaps best known for his book “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” and the others in the Chronicles of Narnia series.

His book Mere Christianity is one of the most powerful apologetics of the Christian faith.

Lewis wrote A Grief Observed after his wife died of cancer just a few years after their marriage. In it he reflects on life, death, and faith.

“I am grateful to Lewis for having the courage to yell, to doubt, to kick at God in angry violence. This is a part of a healthy grief which is not often encouraged.”
